Everywhere in the country and in the world, people left their beloved homelands to try their luck in this cold, faraway place where all one had to do, was be willing to work. Mumbai is the prime example of city of migrants in India. And America is an example of a modern country found by immigrants only. In times of economic downturn, we forget the values on which the place was built and developed. The sociopolitical climate becomes increasingly destructive towards immigrants in these times as scapegoats are used to help alleviate frustration. We are all citizens of the world–there is no place in the world that we can go and not touch something created in another land, no place where there are not immigrants. In my views, history is made by wandering humans from one place to another for trade, war or to become part of greater civilization. Human is indeed yayaver by nature and settler by culture. A scene of the flood

Image
Krishna river flowing over red alert People caught amid flood situation near Wadi Railway Tracks All Photoes are taken by my sister who reached to Hyderabad from Bangalore in 60 hours through Rajdhani express and returned to Bangalore in 60 minutes through airways. Andhra and Karnataka are facing worst flood in 100 years. Reaching Bangalore or Hyderabad was never so difficult. Both the bus and train services are affected. In this season of problems, suddenly air fares rocketed thrice the normal rate. Not more than 0.1 % of people of India travel through air route, still this opportunism shown by airlines prove that air fare needs to be regulated for making air services to the reach of more people. In economics, collective bargaining, psychology, and political science, "free riders" are those who consume more than their fair share of a public resource, or shoulder less than a fair share of the costs of its production. Free riding is usually considered to be an economic "...

Candid Beauty

Image
Henry David Thoreau , US Transcendentalist author (1817 - 1862) quotes this paragraph in Walden (1854): " I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived … I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms... " Every time I watch ' Dead Poet's Society ' or read ' Walden ', this photo appears in my mind. Sitting under this tree had given me a sense of calmness and sense to enjoy natural beauty. The photo is taken in Germany where I visited for summer internship. I had written my one...

Vichaar Shoonya -3

Nothing personal and original from my side. Weblinks of adapted material will be given in few days. Enjoy this compiled series. 1-Beauty is a mood of your mind that is experienced if you care to notice. Appreciate the difference because beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Are you a beautiful mind? Do you seek beauty? 2-India, democracy has not allowed the rule of the majority. issue after issue, state after state is that powerful minorities landed interests have been able to capture the political system and extract government benefits for themselves. Most people, I suspect, just want to get on with life, raising their families, doing their work, enjoying some good times between the cradle and the grave. 3- Guru, is one of the most important works of Indian cinema to emerge post economic liberalization that gives Indian entrepreneurs their due representation. In a resounding voice it proclaims a paradigm shift in the middle class morality that has made being money-minded and ...

An article to aware us about future of humanity about water which is by no mean less important than global warming. When MNC's are drenching water for commercial resources , voices must be raised and examples must be put forwarded by us for fair utilization of water.I have put small paragraph about this scenario. The reference of the author of the article is put at the end of the post. " At the Polaris Institute, we propose a three-pronged strategy. First, develop a water-alert network so we can know where companies are operating and where they are going next. How are they going to move? And how can we get ahead of them? Second, we need water-action teams that bring citizens together to build local water-watch coalitions and develop campaigns to protect their water supplies and services from conglomerates. Then we should link those local campaigns with the national campaigns of groups like Public Citizen or the Council of Canadians. Third, we need to offer alternatives. It is no...

Understanding Nature

Search for unknown is only goal of curious human mind. The inquiry to recognize phenomenon behind each process is part of human behavior from primitive times. The whole pursuit of science is to understand nature in a simple and single theory. Ultimate theory must be able to define each event of this nature and then universe clearly. Current science has taken mathematics as a base to understand the nature around us. There is mutual relationship among each unit in the nature. Everyone is connected and interdependent on each other for his survival in nature. But each unit is diverse from each other and categorized in different species. Their population must be taken in account with considering the habitat. Currently, million of species plants and animals exist at present. This shows permutation and combination of millions of parameter interdependent on each other on mathematical scale. Nectar of discussion lies in process not in details. This balance of nature is dynamic in nature. It is ...
