Candid Beauty

Henry David Thoreau, US Transcendentalist author (1817 - 1862) quotes this paragraph in Walden (1854): "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived … I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms..."

Every time I watch 'Dead Poet's Society' or read 'Walden', this photo appears in my mind. Sitting under this tree had given me a sense of calmness and sense to enjoy natural beauty. The photo is taken in Germany where I visited for summer internship. I had written my one line poem describing this blog here only.
"दो लम्हे का जीवन है, एक क्षण उन्माद का, एक क्षण आह्लाद का, बस इतना ही जियूँगा!"

Harmony with Nature

There are many sweet memories during my brief stay at Germany. One of it is worth mentioning here. I was sharing my house (not room :D) with a guy. His name was Christian Clauss. I was invited at his home for a day. His family was curious on meeting with a stranger from distant land. His home were located in the country side. His father, Alexander was a simple farmer and was native of East Germany. He knows German and Russian but not English. I was introduced to his mother, Sabine. I have quite long dialogue with her on various topics. There was feeling of happiness in the family. I could not resist the temptation of this secret. I asked for the reason of joy of living in the remote part far from city. On seeing my puzzled face, she replied “We should live in harmony with nature.” It was secret mantra of their life. I was amazed and a sense of respect for her view went deep down in my heart. Really, search of inner peace lies in the harmony with others.

The Forces of Creativity: Chaos

While discussing with my mentor about India,a strange dialogue comes between him and me.

Me-- India is a place of high potential but nurturing is not done properly.

Mentor--If migration of Indian talent to America would stop, you can achieve much better.
Mentor--India is a country of high chaos !!!

Me-- Where is chaos, there is high chance of creativity and innovation.

Mentor--Place of high chaos have least stability..
Mentor--Everybody wants to be in equilibrium, dynamic only.

Me--Remarkably true sir.
Too many parameters determine the fate of system, the system tend to be chaotic.
But evolution will take much better in such environment due to stiff competition rather than any other place.

Uff..Darwin just saved my opinion and point of view..
