Azamgarh:The Gulf Connection

I was once asked about famous people hailing from my home town, Azamgarh. I cannot name even one of eminent fellows. Few of us will know the name of Rahul Sankrityayan or Kaifi Azmi. Fewest of us have heard the name of Ayodha Singh ‘Harioudh’ & Shibli Nomani. These names are not even famous now in Hindi or Urdu speaking belt of India. Contrary to this, Dawood Ibhrahim, Abu Salem & Ejaj Lakedwala are renowned names from Azamgarh to Dubai.
I have mentioned them in my previous post:Welcome to Azamgarh

Now, Abu Basher has added his name in this eminent list of role models. It is slight different case now. All of the previous names were criminals but now emerging names are terrorists. There is a place called Saraimeer in the Azamgarh district. It is strong hold of Muslim population. Sadly, most of the wanted criminals originate from this place. But in truth, Azamgarh is like a dormant volcano. Only lava of this volcano is erupting and causing destruction at different places.

Some clues to Azamgarh's troubles are to be found in its economy. Despite being home to 4 million people (of whom 58 per cent are Hindus), the district has no industries worth taking note of. Despite a more-than-evident desire to acquire the tools to succeed (computer training and English speaking institutes are a rage), there are no universities or engineering colleges. But there is money. In Sarai Meer, Sanjarpur, Beenapara and the neighbouring areas, big, gleaming cars jam narrow lanes, tiny shops yield the latest gadgets and acres of green fields are broken up by tall white mansions. It's not money from the country's economic boom but from the Middle East where almost every family has a member.

Majority of the young people left here for various places in the search of job. From 08/09/2008 to 21/09/2008, 1125 people applied for passport from this region.90% were destined to go to gulf countries. This place is really prosperous without any industries. There is continuous flow of petro-dollars from the gulf. There are branches of 4 nationalized and 2 local banks in Saraimeer. Monthly turnover of the one branch of nationalized bank is about Rs. 5 crores. The Hawala exchange also generates the Rs. 25 crores per month. In short, there is monthly turnover crosses the record of Rs. 50 crores. Any entrepreneur is listening to this!!!! Still most of my fellow ITBHUians have not heard of this terabithia. Pay attention to this, Azamgarh is just 99 km away from the Varanasi.

Major portion of these petro dollars has been invested highly by the community only in building Madarsas. Now, it is claimed that new members of terrorist are breeding in it. Azamgarh is becoming nursery for terrorism. There is no direct control of educational policy in these schools by government. Government fears from the uprising on direct intervention with minority population. Some selfish people are nourishing unwanted elements in the protection of pseudo secularism.

Most of this money is spend in vain and no development of the place has taken place. Job scenario is still the same and flight of people to Bombay and gulf has not stopped. Previously all criminals were nobody at home. Like all those who have left this place, they have excelled in other place. But these terrorists have been trained at home only. Local leaders of Samajwadi party & Congress were advocating freedom of Abu Basher for vote bank politics. Local police shows zero resistance against criminal elements .It is not all doom picture here. There is enough socialism that no big communal riots have taken place here since independence. Hope, it will be maintained in future.

Muslims of Azamgarh

Despite all rumors,The below link gives optimistic view of this place:

Welcome to Azamgarh

Do you know any city named Azamgarh?
Off coarse, you will be briefed by various news channel telling Azamgarh as den of terrorists. Azamgarh, a small sleepy town in eastern UP, is under scanning again, for all the wrong reasons in national bulletins. But,my amazement to these lies in the fact that this city is mine hometown.
I will give you 3 links to understand the unique background of this place.
1-Azamgarh in Wikipedia
2-Azamgarh in Government website
3-Azamgarh in Historical Percepts

Few days ago, I was tracing the roots of cultural, political and social fabric of this district.I have not lived at this place from my birth. My paternal side belongs to Azamgarh and maternal side belongs to Mau (a district formed by the division of Azamgarh in 1988). Still, except my father all my relatives are in these two district. This place really is far beyond any city in India at least 20 years.

Azamgarh backwardness lies in the mindset of the people residing there. People can't think beyond government job and mostly divert towards teaching profession. Their mentality is same as it was 10 yrs ago. Fundamental thinking here is based on, how to get a government job by any means if possible. This mentality makes the people frustrated when they didn't get a government job. Polluted politics and crime is another factor which are responsible for this worst condition of Azamgarh. Main problem is the participation of students in these act and lack of career orientation. Major cities near Azamgarh for higher education are Varanasi, Allahabad and Gorakhpur. Only few educational institutes has been opened here recently and progress is quite satisfactory. I am still working for more facts and will tell you soon.

Return of Bearded beast

It is general misconception that I am doing nothing these days except relaxing at home. It may be a comfortable truth or a false statement. Honestly, I am free from last 4 years but quite alone these days. So, I am looking back into my life and self assessing career and relations. Blank mind is the home of the devil. Hence, I am watching movies and reading novels to counter this devil. This post is dedicated to all people without whiskers.

Portrait of the bearded beast is not quite extra ordinary but certainly a unique one. My cloning has not been taken place till this date in my knowledge. The long and unshaven beard appears to be bird’s nest in progress and a sign of laziness or lethargy to my well-wishers. It is rather unconvincing for majority of people that beard and mustache can give masculine beauty. Clean shave is taken as symbol of beauty and smoothness. I do not understand that it is marketing strategy of razor blades or modern parameter of face value. Well trimmed beard with different styles is more preferred by your family and friends rather than random facial hairs. Mustache and beard are extra natural gifts on the face of man in comparison with woman. Smooth face appears to be more feminine in nature.

People try to see you in a traditional way or tuned with new style. Every punk style of dress is not cool one but neglecting exterior look is in mine common routine. The constant pursuit to polish ½ mm skin on exterior takes more toll than cleaning of heart these days. There is maximum effort to bluff people with your outlook. Most people just tend to make fast and everlasting impression from the first look. They don't want to search for inner beauty of the person. This world is really a show business than concrete reality. I am saying given facts with surety because I am really deceiving common junta with my innocent face after nice shave. Remember these beautiful lines for true judgment of a person……

"Nazar milte hee dil milaya nahi jata,Aagaz ko anzaam banya nahi jata"|

Metamorphosis of Soul

I am a lucky person. I am not physically or mentally crippled. I am not an orphan. I was born and raised in family of moderate income which can sustain my education and hobbies. But what is the necessity of recalling these forgotten facts. Probability to starve and die as an infant is higher than to study in a quality technical institute in India. Instead of thanking almighty, we don’t even look at these facts carefully.

I am a Hindu by birth. My faith in the religion changes with time. Holy Scriptures were just parable and story books for me in childhood days. I was quite impressed by character of Karna, Bhishma and Bali. Life story of Gautama Buddha mesmerized and gives me the unnoticed picture of the world. The whole intake of stories for me was sacrifice for greater cause.

As the logic and maturity comes with the age, the pious faith in the god was uprooted. Currently, all religions are full of formalism and ritualism than pure devotion and love. Then, there were different phases of transformation of faith. Deist, Theist, Nihilist and Atheist were my beliefs changing with time gradually. Currently, I am humanist. It was never ending search for true way of living. Finally faith in God was totally gone. The world seems to be in chaos and full of sufferings.

I have read enough economics to appreciate the fact about money and morals to realize the evils of money. Hence, money became a necessity not the goal of life for me.

Everlasting thirst for fame became my sole objective. No field of work can give this eternal fame. All the pomp of power and boast of heraldry leads path to the grave. My name will be forgotten in 100 years in ordinary life. If, I become a person like Amitabh Bachhan, all will be forgotten in 1000 years. If, I become a person like Mahatma Gandhi, then it will be all gone in 10000 years. The thirst for fame appears to be vain and fruitless finally.

I am pursuing my career in field of science & technology. But the current science cannot give answer about ‘conscious’,’ life’ & ‘death’. I was attracted towards art, literature, cinema and music at leisure time. Slowly, these hobbies were converted into habits. To provoke thoughts by means of any activities became sole motto for me. Search for truth and eternity leads my path to philosophy and culture. I was keen student of Indian philosophy, culture and anthropology. I was on right track for search about mystery of life .this was confirmed by reading few writings of Aurobindo Ghosh, J.L. Nehru and S.Radhakrishnnan.

It came a period of emptiness after college life. It was not boring time but a constant struggle of thoughts and emotions. Then, it begins the search for ultimate truth. Truth is eternal and perfect for me. Anything which is destroyed by time and space is corrupt and incomplete. It was in the mind and heart all the time. I was in solitude and silence and self questioning about reality ignites the way of self realization. Spirituality is now mantra of life.

Metamorphosis of soul is not over yet meta-stability is reached. There is love, joy and rhythm in mine heart. I have not control over my heart but know the right path now. I have reached a state where word appears to be full of flaws than emotional truthfulness. I lack words to express my true feelings. There is a great sense of joy and peace with in conscious mind. I am transforming with time and also experiencing the flow of time. It’s all divine….

Athato Brahma Jigyasa

Have you ever seen deeply in the eyes of poor and down trodden human?
Most of us do not have courage to to look inside those black eyes. But you felt the pain of his sufferings in your heart. It cannot be defined by science. This pain is experienced by your soul. Existence of soul is denied and suppressed by everyone.

Who am i?
This is the first question arose in the spiritual minds. We hide and run from this question whole life. We boast ourselves for scientific endeavor but do not want to search for the this answer. Everybody search for deeper meaning and purpose of life.

You try to compose yourself by cursing the cruel world or unmerciful god or an individual for yours suffering. You simply forget that you are the part of the same system. The world is nothing unreal but weaved and governed together by the dream and wishes of human. Humans try to mend and break the rules of nature for his survival and then luxury. Human has a free spirit unbounded by laws of nature. It is only chaotic element in well disciplined nature.

Life is lived forwards and analyzed backwards. There are certain times in our life when world appears to be nostalgic, insomniac and full of chaos. Identity crisis in the lost worlds tops the priority list. It is also entertaining to remind readers that nothing like priority list of wishes exist. We are generators of infinite wishes in the tiniest part of time. The world is nothing but mirror of wishes and work of all people. Yet the search of paradise with shortcut escape route is pursued by everybody. To become extraordinary from ordinary is zeal of human mind. To become simple is more difficult than anything. Simplicity is just a man with esteem but no ego of success.

Everybody talks about religion but only few have experienced it.
Search for perfectness and eternity leads only to metaphysics. The life changing experience was not born due to single incident. They were results of series of self analysis and improvement. Solitude and silence provokes the feeling of loneliness in the crowded world.

A lot of people misunderstood the word 'Divine'.
Divinity is in the joy on watching the natural landscape, hearing the sound of jungle, touch of grass with the bare foot, feeling the taste of food & fragrance of the flower. Only nature is eternally new and eternally old with time.

Man is a social animal.
Man is beast with divinity in him. Every animal fights for territory, food and protection of their infants. Man fights for his beliefs also. It makes him more dangerous and supreme creation of the nature.

Discipline, morality, ethics and humanity are basic values and ingredients of characters. When there is search of secret ingredient or shortcut path of success, the human is altered from true path.Curiosity for discovering new path lies deep inside conscience of every human.

Ultimate Guru Mantra:" Life's desire should never be directed towards sense gratification. One should desire only a healthy life or self preservation, since a human being is meant for inquiry about the absolute truth (ultimate reality). Nothing else should be goal of one's work."

Bahadur Shah Zafar - Last Mughal King

Lagta Nahin Hai Dil Mera Ujde Dayar Mein

Kiski Bani Hai Aalam-e-Napaidar Mein

Bulbul ko baghban se na sayyaad se gila

Kismat mein kayd thi likhi fasle-bahaar mein

Kehdo In Hasraton Se Kahin Aur Ja Basen

Itni Jagah Kahan Hai Dil-e-Daagdaar Mein

Umr-e-Daraz Mang Ke Laye The Chaar Din

Do Aarzoo Mein Kat Gaye Do Intezaar Mein

Din zindagi ke khatm hue shaam aa gayi

phaila ke paanv soyenge koonje mazaar mein

Kitna Hai Badnaseeb “Zafar” Dafn Ke Liye

Do Gaz Zameen Bhi Na Mili Koo-e-Yaar Mein

English Translation:

My heart is not happy in this despoiled land

Who has ever felt fulfilled in this transient world

The nightingale laments neither to the gardener nor to the hunter

Imprisonment was written in fate in the season of spring

Tell these emotions to go dwell elsewhere

Where is there space for them in this besmirched heart?

I had requested for a long life a life of four days

Two passed by in praying/wishing, and two in waiting.

The days of life are over, Its evening of death

Now I can sleep without any stress forever in my tomb

How unlucky is Zafar! For burial…

Even two yards of land were not to be had, in the beloved land

Engineering Education in India

Who are Engineers?
''Engineers ... are not superhuman. They make mistakes in their assumptions, in their calculations, in their conclusions. That they make mistakes is forgivable; that they catch them is imperative. Thus it is the essence of modern engineering not only to be able to check one's own work but also to have one's work checked and to be able to check the work of others ''
- Henry Petroski
(From: To Engineer Is Human. Engineers Creed)

Derived from the Latin world"ingeniare" engineering means ''to design'' or ''to create''. Hardly any engineer knows this definition, understanding is distant dream. Theoretically engineers apply the theories and principle of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solution to technical problem.

We, Indians are producing hardly these kind of engineers in practical. My statement is not indirect insult to the system, but a down to earth filthy slang on engineering education system. Production of mass scale of engineers instead of class scale has lead us to this crisis.

Most of the students in India enter into field of engineering with the passion to turn the world upside down with their talent. Simply speaking, they want to achieve some distinctness in this field. Few of them go through IIT and became elite class. Its not necessary that all IITians are ingenious and incarnated from heaven. In reality, only few of them has been poisoned by the deadly snake of scientific temper and creativeness. Then, long story short... they face harsh and brute reality. The infrastructure of engineering education is more based on suppressing than nourishing of talent. With few exception of really dedicated students, curiosity and passion of the students die slowly. Most of the students will really agree with me that their sharpness of mind is blunted in the span of four years of study of engineering and technology.

Students are really good in P.C.M. [Physics, Chemistry and Maths] till engineering entrance examinations. Logic, Reasoning and Creativity abilities vary with each individuals. Our academics much focus on data [subjects] than information [Interpretation and In cooperation]. Scientific Temper is not in the scene of study. The system focus on learning (mugging) without understanding or blind faith on authority.

Hold for a minute.... What is the meaning of this word 'Scientific Temper'? It means curiosity and willingness to investigate facts by logic and reasoning.

Most of the engineering students and teachers are rigid in their thoughts. Left alone the numb administrative policy makers. All scientific temper sublimes in the practical life of college. All Labs,Workshops and even tutorials have become ritual than a scientific investigation of concepts.

Result oriented practicals and experiments have doomed every talent of this country. Weightage of success rate of experiment is much high than understanding of concept behind it. Every teacher of engineering has suffered from this curse. Yet,they became infectious carrier or paralyzed patient of this lethal virus.

Problems created by few teachers are false ego and unfriendliness behaviour towards junior teachers, working staff and students. They want to hide their faults under the huge banners of discipline and respect. They have infact never learned the basic principle of teaching.

-Discipline cannot be imposed on any person force fully especially on 17+ age group.Discipline is a self applied phenomenon.Disraeli had quoted '' You cannot make men virtuous by acts of parliament ''. A student should fear from administration only on imbreachmnet of rules. Nothing less than this should be accepted.These few teachers make a gap between them and students. Knowledge can only pass through bridge between them;

-Respecting teachers is important virtue of the student.Teachers tend to demand it from students.Respect can only be earned by command not demand. Command comes from knowledge, not from whip....

-Questioning on authority is always taken in negative percepts by administration. Lack of transparency in economic matters is principle concern for students. There is misunderstanding for word 'investment' and 'expenditure' between students and administrators. Lack of vision for future and crawling action on plans is our major problem.

Few teachers don't change with time and makes engineering boring. They bring same yellow pages of notes to dictate lectures over years. Student feel engineering as:
''The sad mechanic exercise,Like dull narcotics, numbing pain.'' They ensure and give more emphasis on written work than learning concepts. When technology is growing exponentially, we are not even changing linearly. Sarcastically, only electronic gadgets are updated at colleges of technology....

A teacher is friend, philosopher and guide to the student. But most of faculty fail to perform the task. No teacher can give all knowledge of a subject but atleast they can ignite the flames of interest of the subject in students. It is quite correct that some teachers accept their limitation in modest manner. They pursue the question together with student for optimal solution. They are really the ones,a student looks for a role model.

'A single line of Truth is more convincing than epitome of false knowledge'.
Most of students believe in their exceptional talents but go for smart than hard work. Learning is plant of slow growth but current students are more interested in earning. Open discussion on any topics should be made between students, teachers and administration on equal grounds. All of them are basic component and just incomplete without each other in this engineering education system. A platform is necessary to put the ideas together.

There is a flame of hope in every new students and teachers to fill shortcomings of pattern in the system. It dies slowly with time. Now, the choice is ours. Mourn on the dead flames or rekindle the minds in the dark.Let our hope and efforts do not perish within the system.

Long Live the Spirit of Innovation..

Save ITBHU

"Greetings,
Recently, I read a news in TOI about the 6 new IITs being preferred over IT BHU. Only low rank holders are opting for BHU. Well, that is pretty normal and I would have also opted for one of the IITs if I were to take the admission.

Why?

- I don't know anything about IT BHU that makes it different from other institutes that admit students through JEE.
- The IT BHU section in the JEE brochure talks more about the trivial details than giving information about the IT BHU's vantage points over the the other Institutes that participate in the admission process.
- It doesn't answer all the questions that come to mind of the students when they opt for a college during the JEE counseling.
- It doesn't talk about IT BHU alumni who have made a difference.
- It doesn't talk about the opportunities a student will get if he opts for IT BHU.
- It doesn't talk about the state of the art facilities, a student will get if he/she joints IT. Actually, we have none so the purpose of mentioning this point is self defeated.
- It doesn't talk about how joining IT would give it's students a head start in their career.

In reality we don't have much to talk about except the placements. Students are not motivated; they keep cribbing; they are in low spirits.

The reasons?? Well there are many
- The curriculum is not interesting. Its a lot theoretical, with very little scope of doing simultaneous practical projects. That is the reason why many ITians go to the IITs for summer internship projects.
- There is lack of facilities and funds for the labs.
- There are no collaborations with research labs and universities.

The only reason for the good placements has been that BHU's linkage with JEE. With the coming of the 6 new IITs, only the low rank holders will join BHU.(I assume BHU will now open around rank 3500 ) This change is surely going to affect the reputation of our Institute. It may happen that no big shot companies will come to the college campus for recruiting.

What can be done?
A lot. Believe me, we can bring the change.
- First of all, there should be common platform where representatives of administration, alumni and students can come together and discuss different things. The administration should give an ear to the things being discussed. So, please register @ http://www.itbhuglobal.org/
- Students should come up and speak out if they are facing any difficulty. It can be about lack of funds or lack of any facility or anything.
- The curriculum should be redesigned to introduce more electives so that students have more choices. Also there should be more opportunities of carrying out research projects .
- Take the example of ISB. It has reserved a place among the top B schools in India in no time. It has made so much progress that people have started to prefer ISB to IIM A. The reason behind this trend is that ISB have done so much to maintain the aura of exclusivity of the Institute. If we can do something similar ISB has done, then there is no doubt that we shall be one of the best engineering colleges in India and who knows JEE toppers might want to join IT BHU instead of joining any other IIT. Our alums are at very prestigious positions and we can come together to make our Institute the best in terms of facilities; in terms of benefits; in terms of academics; in terms of anything that comes to the mind of the students when they opt for a college during the JEE counseling.
- We can collaborate with research labs, universities (if not foreign then at least with Indian big shots such as IITs,IISc, TIFR, ISI ).
- We can sponsor students for filing patents or publishing papers.
- We can donate different software, which students can't afford on their own, to the different department labs.
- All the obsolete courses should be removed from the curriculum.
(There is much more to do)

Something is sought after if it is exclusive.
I am ending this article with a hope that next year IT would come up as a strong contender among the choices of Institutes that participate in JEE. I hope we shall do something about it.

This is part of a mail by an alumnus in ITBHU yahoo groups. I am putting this material in general public to aware the ITians who are not part of these group. This message is really a matter of introspection for ITBHU to stand in the race of best engineering colleges in India.

The Remains of the Day

This post was written in May and saved as draft. I don't want to express my feeling about these beautiful dying moments in words. After a long thinking process, I am publishing about my last days in ITBHU.

A part of me is dying slowly without any whisper.I am not even mourning or thinking about it. Only few days of my precious college life is with me .Clock ticks and a moment is stolen from mine last days in ITBHU.

I feel like a person whose 4 years in ITBHU can reflect on a day's work. Evening is symbolic for last year, when one can look back and assess one's college life. I had never feel so much dejected and sad in 4 years. This moment of separation from beloved college and friends is haunting me. Thought of not coming here in July seems strange to me. Everybody, I shared my best years of life are scattered. We will meet anywhere in future but this chemistry of love and hate will be missing. Fresh air in the morning,Late night outs in semester downloading latest movies from DC++ will be missed by each of us.

The Professional world is coming down to me with a furious pace.Stake of mine survival in professional world of Sharks, piranhas and alligators is very low. I am a lone fish whose only pleasure is his solitude.

I want to make confession on this day. I don't like personally all of the mine colleagues but respect and adore few of them for their brilliance in their area of work. I don't enjoy good relationship with few batch mates but really praise their hard work. I was also saddened by the negative mindset of some people. There is major problem of jealous behavior from most people on others achievement in our college. They make it habit of scrutinizing others hard work under cheap labels. A sense of appreciation of things is missing. I hope that we can mature as a person to enjoy each other success and stand for each other in crisis.

Inspirational Seniors

There were only 3 inspirational seniors for me down these years in ITBHU : Sripati Sah, Varun Grover and Animesh Pathak. Its irony of my fate that they even don't my name. Sripati sir has met with me few times. I talked to Varun sir once on gtalk. I have been encouraged by Animesh sir for one good post on blog. They are more like virtual inspirational source with their qualities in front of me.

Sripati Sah:
I have talked with Sripathi Sah 2 or 3 times during 1st year by giving infeasible idea in model making in Technex-05. After that never, that mighty guy left us for further study to Amherst. I am sure that he cannot even recognize me now. I adore him not for his short attendance (28% excluding B.T.P. in last semester) but for his infinite passion and zeal for ever TAC. Now, I have myself seen all the seasons at ITBHU. Loss of passion and self motivation for improvement is major disease prevailing in this institute. I am also doomed deeply in it. But he was like God between us humans, ever inspiring and full of enthusiasm.

Varun Grover:
Engineering background of an artist always puzzled me. He is role model for me for his literal, theatrical and now cinematic journey. One person perrfectly quoted about him: "He is one of the very few people around me who is so sure of what he wants from life!"
He was the person giving me inspiration to become original and creative. There is a blind race and mob psychology in most of ITians for future career. They do not want to stand alone and make their own way. He has shown me the enlightened way to be original and creative.

Animesh Pathak:
There is no heart more strong than a heart of volunteer. Animesh sir have got that heart. He is very energetic person. To do a commentary as an audience on the problems is always easier than to really get to the ground and solving them. He chooses to solve the problems of his Alma matar. Many of us laments in their whole career about status quo of ITBHU and IIT. None of them volunteer or participate in solving problem at grass root level. He is one of the most easily reached alumni for students. His unending energy gives me inspiration to achieve goals for things we love most.....

This post is not written to drew attention but to pay my respect to seniors whom I admire most.

Why do i write?

Chaos, Cosmos, Chaos, Cosmos. Once again the sickening game;

My writings are introspection of change within me with time and place.I have no secret ambition to turn into literal giant in real or virtual world. I don't want to impose my fictional views on others. I write blog just to reflect my feelings in words. I am a free lancer in the world of professional writers.

Passion of writing in diary was started by admiration of quotation. After reading short stories, poems and novels in Hindi and English, the spark for creation ignited me. There is ghost inside me giving lucrative offer to rise and fall in deep oceans of literature, cinema and spirituality. Nowadays, blog and diaries are only remedy to preserve my mind from chaotic thoughts. Every night infinite number of ideas are erupted inside me. There is deep conflict and enigma inside me to understand philosophy of life. This mythical consciousness enables me to think about art and non materialism. I seek for solitude to search for real purpose of knowledge and wisdom.

Perception of reality seems to be blurred from every point of view. I cannot distinguish my life into colors. The world is not simply black or white but as a variable shades of Grey. It makes the world more puzzling and perplexing choice between right or wrong.

Whole sole purpose of shaping my thoughts is now self discovery. Words translate this feeling of inwards journey to a form of expression. I feel writing is like realizing our own divinity in this mortal world.

Yayaver

History of human race is full of travel, adventure and struggle. The traveler knows more about the world than anyone stagnating at home. I have spotted the name of my blog (URL) Yayaver due to this reason. The sound of this word gives me feeling of mysticism, exile and mobility. Often i was asked about the meaning of this word by my companions. I was searching for true meaning of this word both in Hindi and English.

I have stumbled across the travel diary of Agyeya and found the deep meaning of the word in Hindi. It is mentioned here. Problem was in discovering correct English word meaning. I got that word last week.

Bohemianist :"a person with artistic or intellectual tendencies, who lives and acts with no regard for conventional rules of behavior."

It was not exactly have same meaning but vanity corrupts me for self praise. This post is mainly dedicated to Rahul Sankritayan for his inspirational traveler's guide "Ghumakkar Shastra".

Me & DC++ in ITBHU

As a student of ITBHU, I graduated as a mechanical engineer; I posses only scare knowledge about computer software. But I admire people and their work in the field of software. I have job offer from two software companies. Despite of my ignorance of this field, I really like to congrats the makers of DC++; To all other ignorant people, DC++ is free and open source peer to peer file sharing client having unlimited file sharing option.

DC++ is the best software used by me till this date. I was novice to the name of any software in 1st year and did not posses any computer. There were only three PC in the whole branch in first year. But 2nd year was like mutation for our branch. Half of the branch was well equipped with different models of PC. But there was a big problem in front of us. The hard disk of each PC was scarcely loaded due to lack of data.

There was establishment of LAN headed by trio of monty, sandu , gopu and rajjo; Me and Monty were collecting money from our branch for LAN wires. All of us were suddenly connected by thin wires and hub from room to room. Network place was full of computer of different domains. But this intra-hostel connection was not enough for guys like me. We were seeking for more flow of data (hardly any study material contaminated in it).It was like traces of study material mixed with high dose of movies, music, games, adult material and software.

Then monty and rajjo did the magic trick for us. They find about this pre-existing and used software named DC++; All of ITBHU was suddenly connected to each other by this software. This year was marked with the end of cyber café and CD/DVD rental shop. Internet was directly provided by BHU in our room. It was splendid feeling of the change or seeing the revolution through your own eyes. All of us had feelings that we are here as student in ITBHU when things are changing rapidly in right direction.

They were great days in ITBHU for me. I was movie lover from the childhood, but such vast collection of almost everything was available in front of me. It was like sharing of information for public use. People have generally 40GB Hard disk in their computer. DC++ was like a knowledge hub. Each user contributes his drop of knowledge to the ocean of knowledge.

Beauty of DC++ lies in the discontinuous downloading and automatic alternative search option. In the network, you have to search from user to user for his shared stuff. It was not necessary that we get data (mostly movies) of ours choice. But DC++ allowed you to search like searching engines on the internet. In the network if downloading if the connection is lost, all the data will be null. You have to begin downloading form start. DC++ allows you to download from that point only when user or network is reconnected. One more vital point was search for alternative sources and downloading from multi-users at a rapid speed (1Mb/sec). That was splendid for me if not for most of mine technocratic brothers.

Now times were changing. Apex DC++, LDC++ & Strong DC++ were new versions of DC++. In the primate version, we can download from only one user. But as we technically advance with semester, multi-user downloading was incorporated. People were going for hard disk of higher memory capacity and 160 GB was now normal.60GB per user (up to 300 users) was seen in my last days at institute. 17.73TB of data was shared for public use and entertainment.
We cannot ignore the hub owners and downloader’s in this discussion. I can remember the name(nick) of users like Prof, Deeejam, Loverboy, Bluerose, Maharavana, rksmet, Aks, spider and bazooka etc .They were guys with of lot of real good stuff to share. I was there with name of 'yayaver' in the last year with lot of foreign cinema stuff. I have marked all my movies with their name and IMDB rankings just to ensure comfort to downloaders.

Song, Movies, Software, Games, Serials and R.B. were just one click away from you. But now they are parts of old memories which will never depart from us. Such were good old days !!! Me speaking formally: DC++ is an example of cooperative development movement of knowledge sharing in the educational institute.

Just Waiting for right job

Do what you love, love what you do
I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.

Mine Graduation Years

The quality of a university is measured more by the kind of student it turns out than the kind it takes in. If this is parameter of measuring my career development in ITBHU, I am both amused and amazed.

The reason for amazement is mine area of interest. It had changed dramatically from past. I had stumbled across Brand named I.I.T. after passing 10+2 exams. I consider myself good in Physics, Chemistry and Maths with lot of positive attitude. Then,I patronize only two things: Movies and challenging questions in P.C.M. (Physics, Chemistry and Maths).

Today, I remember PCM as percentage male character. Thats the ugly but naked part of me. I learned a valuable lesson now at the verge of graduation. If you are good in P.C.M., then it is not necessary that you will definitely succeed in engineering career.

The reason of amusement is the impact of university and friends on my personal development. There is such flow of knowledge available in the college that is beyond imagination. Even though it is a engineering college, there are bond guys in field of academics, music, sports, theater & technology. I was lucky to be part of such geniuses as college mates. It reveals the basic fact that diversity of species in ecosystem lead to better evolution.(Biological law applied successfully on an engineering college [:D])

I was full of energy, enthusiasm and determined to make point at time of joining. But, I was not molded for engineering stream. I was curious, original but not creative enough for engineering. I have prepared a chart of mine professional and personal gain and loss simultaneously in these years.

Year

Optimistic Gain

Pessimistic Loss

1st

Evolution from a school boy to college Student i.e. Fun loving creature

Loss of Enthusiasm for academics and frustration over system irregularities.

2nd

Excited about prospective Mechanical engineering

Illusions of interests in professional field due to lack of proper guidance & negligence of studies

3rd

Hope for better projects & internship. Shaping my career profile.

Poor academics and fall of grades. Charm of engineering is over.

4th

Vision of mine future is clear. A sense of renunciation is in mind. Securing Jobs in hand.

Relaxation and carelessness about projects, studies & everything just flourished.

It was a pleasure to work with persons from different geographical and mental background. I enjoyed several positive changes in front of me in this institute. Internet connection, Wi-Fi Project, Availability of E-Journals, Activation of institute email id's, library computerization and several other things gives the positive input for institute and students.

From now on, I will carry a brand name of ITBHU on my shoulders with dignity and respect. I may not choose my life as a technocrat but these four years have left mark on me. I am proud to be called as alumnus of ITBHU.

Declaration of Independence of Mechanical Engineer@ ITBHU

I have become Mechanical Engineer!!
Today,
Roll no. 20040603 proclaim the independence of himself from Mechanical Engineering Department.
I have become free.
I am free from clutches of Mechanical Engineering Department.
I am free from bondage of teachers, grades (Not Applicable for me), department and university.

The joy is not on surface. It is deep within the soul. A calm relaxation is filling my soul.
It feels like a dream after rigorous tussle of me vs department from 3 years.
Endless circle of Attendance, Labs, Classes and Exams are over.

For 4 years,I was tortured by this perfect system (Super strong on papers) and now I am the distinguished alumni of 2008 Batch.

I have crossed the Baitarani river of Mech. Eng. @ ITBHU.
For naives, Baitarani river is South Gate of hell for the sinners who suffer the worst tortures in the river that holds 'boiling hot blood and flesh.

For no dues ,only few administrative loopholes are to be filled.
All the B.Tech. and B.T.P. viva is over;
The end of engineering era is done for me.

Till results are announced,i enjoy myself as a 8/8 Mechanical Engineer.
#The shadows of supplementary exams are not coming till 24th, hence a sense of relief is there.I have not got any backlog in 7th sem. and hoping same luck for 8th sem.#
I have great regards for Sharma Sir and and Zaheer Sir for their care.
Now, its time to say GoodBye to Department.

"Aaj Shaam Deprtment ke samne jashn hoga";

A poets life

My first poetry was a innocent smile,
While learning to stand beside my mother's lap.
Capturing scattered beauty of nature in my soul,
Lost in transition were mine early days.

Romancing Keats and whispering Shelley,
That was my teen ,yesterday.
Quoting Wilde & murmuring Dylan
A poet was nourishing in me day by day.

I am not a poet of the fall or spring,
Neither pursuit a big achiever's dream.
Just wanna be happy man with the shirts,
This will be me as a poem down the years.

Random Thoughts of Day/Night

"Think big, think fast, think ahead. Ideas are no one's monopoly".

"Caste restricts opportunity. Restricted opportunity constricts ability. Constricted ability further restricts opportunity. Where caste prevails, opportunity and ability are restricted to ever-narrowing circles of the people".

"A film is never really any good unless the camera is an eye in the head of a poet."

"Thinking should become your capital asset, no matter whatever ups and downs you come across in your life."

"Thinking is progress. Non-thinking is stagnation of the individual, organisation and the country. Thinking leads to action. Knowledge without action is useless and irrelevant. Knowledge with action, converts adversity into prosperity."

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."

Eternal Feeling of a Moment

Devoid of all emotions,an empty heart at last;
Not a tinge of nostalgia, only quantum of solace.
Falling apart into unknown, may be darkness or light,
Finding myself engraved in the abysses.
Numb, excited are words of past life,
Me blessed or cursed by eternal loss of sensation.

Embraced by wind, earth,water and fire;
Yet,soul untouched by divine love.
Hollowness creeps around my shadows,
Mysticism of non existent just held me together.
Born to kiss the lips of the death,
Oh,cheers or mourn for doomsday.

Air India experience…

While going through Internet for Randy Pausch,i stumbled across one of the eye opener description about Air India. Before reading article,I became quite happy to see that he was an ITBHU alumni.Afterwards,i felt sorry for him.Narrator, Sharad V. Oberoi is pass out of 2005 batch of civil engineering.I think,my colleagues will remember it as a batch of person named MAKKU SHARMA. Ok,leave that stuff...Here is the link of the :Tour de Air India

Indian Premier League

Indian Premier League
Cricket is a game of more controversy than any other sports played in India. After so much debacle and speculation, I.P.L. has kicked off. My loyalty towards India is questioned for first time. I do not have interest in domestic matches but cannot ignore such mouth watering contest. I have to take sides and feeling of regionalism has just started. Whole country is in front of Television set and enjoying the brutal hitting of BB McCullum. Odds are against by bet,but i place my money on Bangalore Royal Challengers. Even SRK and Preity Zinta are enjoying with me in IPL due to high amount of money!!!!
Gear Up and enjoy a new version of Cricket Fever....

Do, what you can do Best.

I am a mediocre in all fields but hate this label. What is the purpose of pursuing a career in the field in which you cannot accomplish distinction? This basic question always haunt me from childhood days. I do not want to become part of the mob. There are more than 10,000-20,000 engineers graduating per year. Where do i stand in this rat race? What is my chance of success and way to achieve notable in this field?

To tell you the truth, I do not have any chances of either doing good or fair. I also know the reason, why? These four years in ITBHU has given me more than enough time to evaluate my capabilities and limitation. I am just good movie viewer, nothing else. Albeit, I had knowledge of success mantra. It is not the old hard work and dedication theory. For me hard work and dedication axiom is appropriate coinage, but that's not enough.

Creativity in your area of interest is primary ammunition for achieving goals. I had huge interest in watching movies. I want to become legendary director like Satyjit Ray, Andrei Tarkovsky, Akira Kurosowa etc. I treat cinema as an art not the entertainment. I spent/ invested my precious time of college in it. But world outside seems more complicated than inside. Still, I am unable to achieve anything due to lack of will power. I regret for two things in my life.

First, I have taken so much input by watching thousand films but not even making a silly amateurish piece of cinema. This habit of laziness will become reason of my fall. Second, I do not have courage to face the struggle and bet my career for unknown business. Fuck you and your natural talent,if you are not working on it.

I had a chat with our alumnus Varun Grover in 2nd year of graduation. He is a writer now in the field of cinema leaving behind his civil engineering career for his interest. He quoted to me in our single conversation in chat "writing, like any other skill, needs polishing". I had forgotten that priceless advice. I am sorry for that till now. I was struggling with my grades, life and everything in 3rd year of engineering but the mind was full of awesome ideas. For reaching vantage point, you need more than idea. You must develop a concept step by step. You cannot become Leo Tolstoy just by knowing all the words in dictionary. You have to be smart enough to arrange them in lucrative and thematic way to write an epic like 'War and Peace'. Hence I started to blog. This was first of my entrepreneurship. Creativity inside me was unleashed.

I am also thankful to Varun Murali and Kunal Sharma to offer me valuable inputs from time to time. Murali critically screwed for my grammar and applauded for my narration skill. That was big boost for me in starting. Kunal gives me an idea of theme and presentation of topic. One year has passed since then. I feel like pebble who is polished to become diamond. I want to apologize here for previous punchline. This statement is manipulated from a quote. I feel guilty for copying it. I have not still become creative enough to blow punch lines like that statement. Hindi is my mother tongue and for me English is like mother in law tongue. I am really working hard to improve it. English is my media of instruction rather than Hindi but authority in this language is missing.

Mine interpretation of one year of writing and 4 year of watching cinema is completely original. Writing skills require lot of input. You have to study a lot but selected material. Novels, poems, short stories with news articles are sources of high quality literature. For example, you cannot learn about ground realities of India through Stardust or Cosmopolitan magazine. References and recommondations must be taken from wise guys. This facts holds true regarding cinema also. You cannot comment on war films by watching movies like Border.

Efficiency of a person is measured by work output/Energy Input. I had to work hard not only to sustain high efficiency but high work output. Creativity, Originality and Interactiveness of my interest with others is now parameter to judge myself. Uff, original ending is different to write. I can state here any existing line but will quote a new-one from myself. Make yours life worthy of putting your footmarks in the history of human race.

PS:This blog is written on completion of 1 year of my blog.

Ajmer & Pushkar

I had completed my journey to 2 of the holiest places in India till 15th March.Khwaja Sharif at Ajmer & Brahma Sarover at Puskar were these two places.I had planned with Vijay to visit or wander in different places of India together. So the starting of multiple stage program began at Ajmer.I had taken Night out to prepare myself for tour.Train was direct and reaching Varanasi to Ajmer in 24 hours. It was much better option than catching Marudhar express for Jaipur and changing train for Ajmer.Itinerary was ready and so were us.Bond and Chandu dropped us at Lanka in the morning. There was perfect cleaning of road from railway station to BHU due to upcoming arrival of Dr. Manmohan Singh. He was the chief guest in the 90th convocation of BHU.
Arrival of Prime minister in university was of no concern to us.For most of guys, it is a minor incident as face to face interaction or conversation to PM or full day vacation on this occasion is not possible.

Journey till Agra was fine.In the night, there came a minor problem of food. Like any other train of Rajasthan, this train was already missing Pantry Car.Hence,we somehow managed food at Agra in 15 minute stoppage time.At 6:30,we were at Ajmer. After renting a room,we were ready for the trip.

Ajmer is a popular pilgrimage for the Muslims due to Dargah Sharif-tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Monuddin Chisti. We visited the tomb during span of 1 hour. Here we cloaked the fabric and tied the thread with asking for a wish. I will came back on fulfillment of my wish and unknit the thread. After that,we left Ajmer for Puskar.Puskar is 14 km way from Ajmer. Trip was made in 1/2 hour by local bus. Then we visited the Lord Brahma's sacred lake with 52 ghats. Lot of Foreigners were wandering across streets of town. Few chicks were quite sexy. The temperature was above 30. Solo Temple of Brahma and a Vishnu temple were only place to go. The above photo of no entry is of latter one. Hence,we return to Ajmer in evening. We were wandering till late night on the streets of Ajmer.Thus,2 places were toured by us.

Now,i will tell you about my experiences of the day. There is nothing enthralling in either Ajmer or Puskar. I was officially warned of pickpocketing in Ajmer at tomb. On visiting Puskar,I was filled by anti-religious feelings. Religion lacks spirituality at both places. If you are going to these places for search of peace,you are in mess;
Both Hindu and Islam are filled with orthodox elements. Priest clan in both religion were acting as a brokers between people and god. They were openly taking money for uttering Sanskrit(Vedas & Purans) and Arabic(Koran) versus. I was puzzled by the fact that why did not god know Hindi or Urdu for common masses. I was remembering Karl Marx in the streets filled with religious atmosphere. For novice readers, Karl Marx quoted"Religion is opium of masses". Spiritual walk at these holy shrines became disgusting for me.But, the world is a fine place and worth fighting for.

Vote of thanks to Chammo

#Original Image is removed at the humble and insisting request of the Chammo;

Statutory Note: This post contain an explicit material belonging to a real person named Chammo. Any other coincidence will be considered purely imaginary and out of space.

In the last moment of our journey of 4 years, I am privileged to give vote of thanks to Chammo. Presence of Chammo in mechanical shows that our batch is just lucky to get her through JEE Counseling.

It is a heartily pleasure from middle of our legs to announce my thankfulness to Chammo. She had labored hard for providing us comfort and intense pleasure. She enjoyed her profession and indulged in it without caring throughout day and night. I wish for her great future and prosperity.

Legend of Chammo began from 1st year only."Chammo" name was first quoted by her city mate Tintin. From then,it had became a brand in the market. 2006 Batch of Computer Science were the first customers outside our batch. Chammo provides service to our batch without charging single penny. Such was compassion and love of Chammo towards our Mechanical-2008 Batch. Today, Chammo has excessive number of clients not confined within hostel but spread through out the university. It was her time managing and networking skills due to which, she is one of the successful ESCORT in the history of ITBHU. Name and Fame of Chammo has raised at new horizons through her professional entrepreneurship. In the 4 years, no. of customer of Chammo has even crossed the sales record of Maruti-800. Data of customer cannot be expressed here due to corporate bondages.

Capacity of Chammo cannot be expressed in the words. She is like Mansarovar. In exam times of heavy stress, she goes from room service with heavy duty blow jobs.Chammo does not insist for using condom for any guy of our batch due to mutual trust relationship. She heavily favors open relation with us and thin boundary protection of latex from others.

Looking in her personal life is full of fun and excitement. She had became fully commited to C. Vikramraj Naidu (040660) from 1st year only. Despite many lucrative offers, she remained room mate of Naidu for 2 years. We are also grateful to Naidu for sharing Chammo without any sour feelings. Sandu has even dedicated and composed 3 songs with his crude voice on her to show his shear love and passion. I had also made a video on Chammo but was lost due to hard disk crash.

Another aspect of Chammo had been completely untouched and unseen by most of our fellows. Till 3rd year,Chammo acts like encyclopedia of stupidity. You cannot ignore her comment on any never heard stuff. She had caught habit of opening her mouth in every discussion without having any clue of debate due to her professional job. It was massive effort of gang of me, hathi, bond, shukla and chandu to get rid of her habit. Now, she is fully recovered from this habit and enjoys healthy and sexy relation with us. She is now trademarked with her Bulldog faced smile in the lobby of 2008 Mechanical Batch.

Not only some innocent students are victims of her sex appeal, but some teachers also fall out in the booby trap. All of us know about it and this restricted matter will not be discussed at public place.

In the end a big FCUK and gang bang encounters to Chammo will be kind enough to express your feeling towards ours lovely and adorable Chammo.

All comments are invited here and must be posted to show his /her heartily feeling towards Chammo.

Plagiarism in Bollywood-2

Courtsey:This information is provided by Srikant Verma of Mech08 Batch.

In this song, neither the voice is stolen or copied, nor the lyrics. So the lyricist and singer are not to be blamed. But since the music is copied, the composer needs to be held responsible.
In this case, it is Pritam.

Plagiarism in Bollywood

I Love Cinema.
I Hate Copying.
Hence,Bollywood is mine target.

I will remind all of you from where word "Bollywood" comes.
It originates from this equation-
{Bombay+Hollywood=Bollywood}.
Our Bollywood truly works on this equation.Take a movie from Hollywood and carbon copy it in Bombay(now Mumbai).

Bollywood represent India everywhere in world due to its huge market base. Those who know about cinema will be critical of these lines.I am also critical of it but it is brutal truth.Bollywood is not the face of Indian Cinema but merely an ugly part.Practically,it is quoted as an film industry because it produces 600-800 films per year.Ideally,99% films are foreign films wrapped in Indian format for recreation of viewers.Only 1% films are original or adapted.Rest of all copied from Hollywood,Tollywood or Korean Cinema.
We,Indian Viewers do not either feel shame or anger on our films due to our ignorance. Most of our commercial movies are copycat of Hollywood blockbusters.Bollywood do not even pick any rare known movie for copying.Xerox copy of hit movies are made without any fear of copyrights.Scene by scene copying is the trademark of our movies. If censor board does not exist, then even sex, love and violent scenes can be copied without any concern for Indian viewers.
Music is also picked from English albums for soundtracks, but its Bollywood.Nothing is impossible here.On questioning men involved in it,a simple line is answer.Original movie is just n
Inspiration, nothing else.Everything can be justified on the basis of it.
I will now categorize Bollywood Movies in 3 parts. Each part have its own distinctive features.

1-Inspiration:
These are genuine movies inspired from another movies. These movies acknowledge their recreation of old movie in new way.Sarkar attributes its inspiration from classic Godfather1 and Godfather2.Inspired director and producer either remake the old films or uses its theme material.Creative directors like Basu Chatterjee and Hrishikesh Mukherjee often used theme material of English classic to make films with social message.I cannot even remember the name of such movies. If you remember it ,then acknowledge me in comments column.

2-Adaptation:
Adaption word is used by me where our movie is based on material previously published or produced in another medium.Like literature and theater are two primary sources of adapted movies.Novels, short stories and even poems provide enough material to make a loose script for a movie.Theater is the source of parallel cinema in Indian Cinema. It is the base of all good aristic movies.Irony of Bollywood is that it demands for star rather than an actor.Filmmaker like Shyam Benegal,Vishal Bhardwaj & Gulzar had taken literature and theater as working ground for their few masterpieces.

3-Ditto Copy:
Plenty of material is beside me to write about junk. This junk is like pile of garbage so nuisance beyond our capacity to neglect it.Again and again, same trend of putting a superb plot of Hollywood movie in ours cinema through Bollywood.
According to Screenwriter-director Anurag Kashyap "
Our screenwriters have always been taken for granted, I have so many original scripts no producer wants to touch. They prefer to play safe, making remakes of Hollywood hits. Hopefully, this case will force Indian producers to buy the rights of films and books before copying them."
List of the movie is endless.Whole Bollywood is full of moneylenders and mafia,no artist is there. There is a website devoted to acknowledge original source code of a Bollywood movies.
Before watching any annoying Bollywood, just check its originality from here. This is the link of the website.

I will pen down the name of these movies in my next posting,Till then ,any comment and suggestion are welcome.

Ekla Chalo Re

You can see the shades of past on my present.
Three words are enough on valentine day for me “Love Lies Bleeding”.

Valentine Day is just another day in the history of ITBHU and mine. Nothing new has been done by me on this day. Remembering old memories was the best way to do celebrate Valentine Day. I remember that day when I was mesmerized by her first look. Image of her is a part of mine now and no one can take it from me, not even death. But that’s old story.

I am murmuring the lines of Bob Dylan “Like a Rolling Stone” and often called myself 'Yayaver' to counter these feelings from now on. For me Valentine Day is remembering the moments of togetherness with her love. Now tragedy comes in other way. After many years, I put feeling of my heart on Google-Talk status. "I cannot emotionally attach to another girl after failure of my first love. I ask to my heart how to move forward in life???"

Tragedy of my life became only quotation for others.

A morning scene in ITBHU

It sounds like freaking topic on first view to write on my blog. It seems like a school essay “A Morning scene in the village”. Hence, we should cut the crap part of its resemblance with any other topic and stop making parody of it. The scene is actually damn funny if you are involved in it. Now I will optimize the situation. An ITian really enjoyed the situation best if he is in 4th year. With a job in the pocket, you feel like a saint devoid of worldly pleasures. Also to remind that winter will be best season to describe the scene.

When the fog is in the air and sun is behind clouds, it makes you little more than lazy. But you have to get up for classes. The reason behind that is simple. It is due to short attendance. Hence all of us are in awkward position of presenting physically but sleeping mentally in classes.

Alarm bell rings at its natural time of just few minutes before 8’o’clock. You whisper 'WTF' in your dream. Some harsh sound is threatening to destroy your romantic or wet dream. You shut the alarm off. Plight of student reaches peak on snoozing of alarm. Despite in what year you are, only one word will express the heartily feelings”FUCK”. It also sucks specially on Monday. Hey, it’s just another dull day in the boring life before weekends.

In 1st year, I would wake up and say, “Hey man, mark my proxy in the class”. 10 persons would go and 40 will be class strength in attendance register. Ahh those Golden Days!!!!

In 2nd year, some guy will shake me to attend classes. I will open my eyes with uneasiness and recall that I am in department right now. I must attend classes. Now came in life the Silver Days!!!

In 3rd year, I would rise by remembering my short attendance, grades and image of a strict professor. That's bronze period due to your struggle for training and tension for next year placement.

But 4th year is the ultimate. All the wise and cool guys are sleeping. Dead silence is spread in the lobby of 4th year. The attitude is simple "attendance will come through BTP". These are Diamond days of engineering. I am feeling it right now.

These scheduling do not operate on a GMAT. I think that all the ITians know the full form of this word. It is the highest abuse from anybody to a cool guy.

Not diverging from the topic anymore, we will move ahead in post. In morning you can go easily in the toilets in ITBHU, 0.8 toilets per 100 students. What a hectic day!! One have to control their shit and wait in queue for toilets. 3 guys are just ahead of you and you can feel the pressure in your stomach. Man, this is the real test of character and patience of a guy. Now, only 50% of guy will take bathe in the morning. These figures are quite high and less than 10% is easily achieved in winter days. Time swings away and I am ready for class. It is exactly 8’o’clock. You must not forget an important point here. Witness the fact, no one even worship God (if it exists) on an empty stomach. How can ITian attend such boring lectures without breakfast? Hence, most of guy march ahead to LC or mess. With handful of bread butter and a cup of tea, they fulfill their mind and soul. Now, we all move towards our respective departments. Till 8:30 most of the batch makes up to lectures. Oh! That is the end of the beautiful morning scene and start of super boring classes.

I forgot to mention that all of us look to VT in our way to class. We appreciate its beauty and want to get grace from BABA VISHWANATH. These are best days of my life whether you agree or not? Check also one more post by me on morning scene.

Anti-NET Surfing Laws in ITBHU

What an average guy of ITBHU wants in his span of 4 years stay at institute with B. Tech degree. A little bit of free space and time taken from society to live best years of his life. He enjoys his life to full extent with little bit of studies of engineering. Most of guys aim for MBA, GRE, Core area or a Software job. Nothing more and nothing less is expected. He is self content with his studies, entertainment and extra circular activities. Surfing Internet is primary pass time for ITians except playing games on LAN or watching movies.

He surfs Internet, watch movies (rarely porn) but all in limits. Guys uses proxy server to open the ORKUT or any other website (for minor purpose) banned by CC at ITBHU. Now all this is going to be changed by the shrewd behavior of our college.

Now new software has been in testing condition by CC. They are using software called Websense. Some of the affected sites are imdb, YouTube, cricinfo, stage6 etc. It is the courtesy of this software that blogging is also banned. On putting my blog address, it replies that the Websense category "Social Networking and Personal Sites" is filtered.

I am blogging this in night after 12’o’clock. Now, that will be the time for entertainment. Anyone wise enough can tell that banning site like cricinfo, imdb, santabanta is insane. They also do not put a heavy load on server. Hardly any student can read news all the time and closed its room for entertainment. To enjoy life and build career is the basic philosophy of student life.

Surfing the Internet is not a big issue to blow up but due to courtesy of CC it became. They can counter-claim that downloading movies, games, songs are misuse of Internet provided in the hostel. But any student will denies the fact that he did not watch movie or play games.CC has crossed the limits of power by banning all sites that fall under the category 'entertainment' , 'streaming media' , 'hacking' , 'proxy avoidance' to name a few there may be more categories We guys need to something about it. Even Wikipedia states that "It has come under criticism from civil liberties groups on grounds that it restricts the free flow of speech".

PS some of the affected sites are imdb, youtube, cricinfo, stage6, blogger, most of the forums etc..... About WEBSENSE in the public forum : “Hehe, the whole idea of Websense is so you cannot bypass it. The only way you will get this to work is by using an anonymous type proxy that Websense have not yet classified in their database. The other issue you will have is if your organization is running the Websense Webcatcher. This will send a list of uncategorized website to Websense. The more hits they get the high up the list for checking it goes so it basically gets added into their database quicker.”

It sounds patriotic but this is time for all of us to stand together and fight for free voice. If this websense is put by force then student community will find a way to nullify it. Because this is a challenge for ITians to counter these preservative measures. I hope that authorities will realize that buying software like websense will be wastage of money for ITBHU.

HALLA BOL !!!

Safder Hashmi(b. April 12, 1954 - January 2, 1989)

Many youths of our generation do not even know this name.I was also accused of forgetting him in old memories. This name was invoked in me by the movie "Halla bol".The movie left me with little impression but the legacy of "Halla bol" was in my consciousness.I am telling you a story of a martyr. He died not for a noble cause in making world a better place for us.
Today , belonging to a ideology is consider just a time pass. Mostly people are either too liberal or too restricted and highly influenced by dirty politics. Membership of club or resort is more credible than a joining a library .You don’t belong to schools of thought such as liberal communists or liberal capitalist or right of center .I doubt if today’s average college student either knows or bothers about this.It is lack of thinking or more self centered approach in life is responsible for this.
Then why i am speaking on behalf of a dead man?Today development in society is highly selfish. Its all about losing your soul to gain material value. But in end ,you look in your heart and feel sorry for your whole life.

Safdar Hashmi was a Communist playwright, actor, director, lyricist, and theorist, chiefly associated with Street theater in India, and is still considered an important voice in political theater in India.
He graduated from St Stephen's College Delhi in English Literature, and did M.A. English from Delhi University. It was here that he became a associated with the cultural unit of 'Student Federation of India', the youth wing of the CPI-M.
Jana Natya Manch, People's Theater Front or JANAM (Rebirth), as an acronym, in 1973, which grew out of the Indian People's Theater Association (IPTA) and was associated with Communist Party of India (Marxist) in 1970 . When Indira Gandhi was blamed with rigging the elections , he produced a street play, 'Kursi, Kursi, Kursi' (Chair, Chair, Chair)[, wherein, when a king tries to leave his throne for an elected public representative, the throne lifts along with him. This play proved to be a turning point for the group .Till 1975, Janam performed open-air proscenium and street plays for mass audiences, then during the Emergency years (1975-77), he worked as a lecturer in English literature in universities in Garhwal, Kashmir and Delhi.

Post Emergency he returned to political activism, and in 1978 Janam took to street theater in a big way, with Machine which was performed for a trade union meeting of over 200,000 workers on 20 November 1978 . This was followed by plays on the distress of small peasants (Gaon Se Shahar Tak), on clerical fascism (Hatyare & Apharan Bhaichare Ke), on unemployment (Teen Crore), on violence against women (Aurat) and on inflation (DTC ki Dhandhli). He also produced several documentaries and a TV serial for Doordarshan “Khilti Kaliyan” (Flowers in Bloom) on rural empowerment. He also wrote books for children and criticism of the Indian stage.
He was the de-facto director of Janam, and till his death, 'Janam' gave about 4,000 performances of 24 street plays, performed mostly working-class neighborhoods, factories and workshops.
The death of Safder hashmi was a brutual murder of free voice in this democratic country.
On January 1, 1989, Safdar and his associates set out to perform a play called “Halla Bol” at Jhandapur village in Sahibabad, on the outskirts of Delhi. The play was a part of their campaign for Ramanand Jha, Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU)-supported candidate in the Ghaziabad municipal elections. Mukesh Sharma, the Congress(I)-backed “independent” candidate, apparently unnerved by the impact the play was making on the workers of the area, went with a horde of armed goons and attacked Safdar’s group. Safdar suffered multiple fractures in the skull and there was brain haemorrhage. He succumbed to his injuries the next day. Even while facing the goons, he made sure that the women folk with the team safely escaped as he fought with the goons.

Fifteen thousand marched at his funeral on January 3, the largest funeral ever for a theatre artist in Delhi. Protest demonstrations swept the country, and several hundred thousand marched in dozens of cities and towns. Thousand voices screamed in unison - “Hamare Safdar Ko Lal salam”as they paid homage to their real life hero

The death of Safdar Hashmi has been covered briefly but effectively by many journalists in the media, after the conviction of nine men by the Delhi High Court recently, including Mukul Sharma, the primary accused, 14 years after his death. This in itself is one of the few cases, where justice has actually been dispensed with, though the delay in itself is a punishment of another kind for the victims – the martyr and those whom he left behind.
The judgment brought some pale consolation to those of us who had followed his career, his work or watched his highly effective tool to create public awareness and opinion.

Hashmi had been enacting street plays regularly to raise public consciousness regarding the misrule by the ruling party, to a fairly appreciative and growing applause. The street theatre format had been adopted and used very efficiently by him to raise public awareness to the issues raised by him, so creatively and in an interactive format Given his socialist leanings, naturally, politics was a significant part of his death as in his life.
And,indeed who remembers him now??Its question for us to look inside our soul.

Memory to remember
