Supressed

Too see a world, born half dead,
Living with suppressed soul,
Not a worth to be called human,
But surrounding us with foul hearts.
No passion for the life,
No hope of the death;

They are everywhere between us,
With world appearing them as hell
Their black eyes give the depth of pain,
Consciousness lies beneath in the chains.

Not having the feel of liberty,
Every moment passing in vain.
Fight to live, live to earn
Just to get a piece of bread.

Truth & beauty are words of fake
Eternally born for the grave
Where is god of enlightenment?
So cruel, taking grudges on these men;

Weak & timid, they have become,
Always like a foot ridden sand
Hope been there in some eyes,
Someday one can hear their heart's voice.

  3. bhaiya, i m also frm kanpur, in 12th, wandering in the coaching mandi nd i too ryt poems :), i personally think that we cn bring a change only if we want, each one of us have the ability to bring a change, maybe the world doesn support us but then we can do things at an individual level, sure they won't be well received but atleast we ll b happy to vent out our own feelings nd then in the end we r definitely accountable to our own inner voice than ne1 else, so i dun becum pessimistic, though u may say that i m very young to noe how the real world is lyk, but i have seen how rong things go nd i try nd protest against them nd try nd change, i dun bliv i ll be "unable" to change the world, i cn change, definitely.................

  4. Deboshree, Thanks for the comment. Its very nice to hear from a younger person about being optimistic and hopeful. And wisdom and courage doesn't comes with age. You are learning and expressing yourself at 16 with a thought to change the world.That is great and inspiring. An idea exist inside you, just prepare yourself for implementing it. Action is just an execution of idea. You have ability to change the world, then go ahead and do it. I had written this poem 3 years ago when I was angry and hurt with the life. Each breathe gives you reason to be hopeful... Thanks for reminding me. I hope that not only two but all of us change at an individual level for better world. Take care young poet :)

  5. I actually find a lot of similarity in the way we had our approach directed towards various things and thanks for encouraging me, it's always nice to be appreciated from people who have deep insight like you :)
    I don't like putting the blame on others for whatever is happpenig in my life or even in the nation at large coz we chose it that way and even you have the same approach, anyways no more further comments coz this 'll sopil the mood in which the poem was written
    :)
    take care...

  6. Deboshree, prose and poetry are our medium to understand each other. Discuss, argue and understand other human. A poet need to be observanr and sensitive to feel the pulse of her/him & world around. Each step good or bad needs introspection, not judgement from others. I appreciate you because you are open to learning and compassionate with others. Its a rare quality and world will ask you to abandon it for becoming more pratcical human being. Morality and virtue are false words to constraint free spirit, go out and live your life. Never bow in pressure to anyone and always go with intution. That only I can suggest with all my life experience. You are the future...

    Also, if got the chane read, Tagore's 'Gitanjali' , its mesmerizing.
